I have always found Best Western hotels meet my needs. That was certainly the case with Best Western Blu in Rome. The room was comfortable and convenient, the breakfast was great and the staff was properly attentive.

The service at the counter is great but the room was small with a double bed pushed against the wall and not much room to move beside it. The shower is also very small. There's a fridge but no tea/coffee making facilities. You can buy coffees and alcoholic beveridges at reception if that's your thing. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Metro station.

Decent Hotel. Air Conditioner was not working on the room, but it also seemed to be a floor wide issue. Breakfast was also pretty good with a decent variety although it felt less diverse than other 4 star hotels. One major issue while scheduling through Booking.com: They cancelled my stay 1 hour before the check in time due to a debit card issue (still don't know what the issue was though and I even added a different debit card) even though the booking information said I was going to pay at the hotel. Ignored my messages through the booking website. Had to call them to fix the booking (they were able to accommodate at no extra cost) risking losing the 5 month reservation due to these issues.

We stayed here just two nights after our wedding day, we arrived into the room to discover something incredibly dangerous- a used syringe in the mini fridge?! Obviously if either of us had opened the fridge to grab a water without looking and stuck ourselves with the needle or God forbid had been travelling with a child that would have been our honeymoon over due to not knowing what kind of contaminants or diseases could have been present. I of course brought it up to the manager and they were complacent to say the least! Instead of being horrified (as anyone in their right mind should have been!!) He said, "Oh that's not nice, is it?" No apologies, nothing at all, and I had to really push to get a different room. Contacted head office and not even a partial refund, just a travel voucher of about 1/5 of what the room cost. Stay elsewhere.

We were on a tour. Our room and many others didn't have the air conditioning working. The advice was to leave the window open. Nice breeze but you get the noise and our opened to an internal facilities area. It didn't seem safe to leave the window open all night. Also there were no tv channels in English. There were some channels you could change the language to English but took a long time to find.
